Recipe of the Week 10/24: French Onion Dip

Yields 4 Servings 

Ingredients: 

2 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil 

3 cups Onion white or yellow, diced 

2 cloves Garlic minced 

1 1/2 cup plain non-fat Greek Yogurt 

2 tsp Gluten Free Worcestershire Sauce 

1/4 tsp Dried Thyme 

Salt and Pepper To Taste 

2 tbsp Chives diced 

Directions: 

  1.  

Add the extra virgin olive oil to a sauté pan. Add the onions and stir every 2-3 minutes for about 15 minutes, or until the onions are caramelized to a deep golden brown color.

Add the garlic to the pan and saute a few minutes until fragrant. Remove from the heat and transfer to a bowl. Refrigerate for 15 minutes to cool the mixture.

Remove the onion mixture from the refrigerator then mix together the ingredients in a mixing bowl reserving a few tablespoons of the onion mixture for the top along with a half tablespoon of the chives. 4. 

Top with reserved chives and onion mixture then serve!

Keep this French onion dip in a container in the refrigerator up to 4 days. 

*Serve with fresh vegetables or bake/slice a Joseph's Pita Bread to use as chips.
